Acciona Energía has sold a 361 MW onshore wind portfolio in Spain to Galp New Energies, per Renews.biz. No transaction value was disclosed in the report. The deal transfers a material block of Spanish wind capacity and continues a pattern of portfolio reshuffling among European independent power producers looking to recycle capital.
Elsewhere in UK wind, Vestas broke an unnamed sector record at a Scottish project, according to Recharge News. The headline gives no turbine count or capacity figure, so the specific milestone remains unconfirmed from available detail. Also in the UK, the Crown Estate launched a 1.5 GW retender for the Morgan offshore site, with an award targeted by end of 2026. The same site was previously abandoned before being returned to market, per a separate Recharge News report.
On the construction side, Smulders reached a key milestone on the 64-turbine East Anglia TWO (EA2) North Sea project, upending the first transition piece. SSE also applied to use 200-metre turbines at its Tangy repowering project in Argyll & Bute, an upgrade on the previously consented hardware.
