Alight commissions 101 MW solar park in Finland

Alight has energised its 101 MW Eurajoki solar park in Finland, the developer confirmed to pv magazine on 4 September 2026. The project is one of the larger utility-scale PV assets to come online in the Finnish zone to date.

Alight told pv magazine it plans to add a co-located battery storage system to Eurajoki next year. No capacity figure for the BESS was disclosed at this stage.

Finland sits at the northern edge of viable large-scale PV deployment in Europe. Eurajoki's commissioning signals continued developer appetite for the Finnish zone despite its lower irradiance relative to central and southern European markets.
