Amazon backs 156MW Sicilian agrivoltaic PPA as CWG locks in 10-year solar deal

Nadara has completed its 227MW agrivoltaic plant in Sicily, with Amazon providing offtake support through a 156MW power purchase agreement, according to Renews.biz. The project is notable for its agrivoltaic design, combining solar generation with agricultural land use on the island.

Separately, CWG signed a 10-year solar PPA for supply from BSR's 50MW Knowl Green project, with ENGIE structuring the deal. The decade-long tenor reflects the kind of long-duration corporate offtake that has become a benchmark for solar financing in Europe.

The two announcements together show corporate buyers on both sides of the European market committing to fixed-price renewable supply. Amazon's involvement in the Italian zone adds to a growing list of hyperscaler-backed PPAs targeting southern European solar assets, where capture prices remain a key structuring variable.
