The UK's AR8 CfD auction has shifted onto its third of five timetable options following a non-qualification review, pushing results into 2027 at the earliest. Renews.biz reported that further slippage remains possible, underscoring the administrative friction that has lengthened successive CfD rounds.

Ofgem also published grid connection reform proposals aimed at improving network data quality and strengthening accountability for developers holding connection agreements. The proposals follow sustained criticism of queue management in the GB transmission system.

Elsewhere, Belgian TSO Elia launched a public consultation on a study examining physical compensation of congestion management actions.
