Baltic Power generated its first power on 10 July 2026, with 54 of 76 turbines erected at the 1.1 GW Baltic Sea site developed by Northland Power and ORLEN. The project is Poland's first offshore wind farm and its commissioning marks the country's entry into offshore generation. At 54 turbines online, the farm is running at roughly 71% of its installed base, with full-fleet commissioning pending the final 22 units.
Alongside turbine installation, the project is actively testing the onshore power route, per Reuters. That is a critical step before the site can export at scale to the Polish grid. No timeline for completing the remaining turbines was provided in available reports.
Separately, Ocean Winds announced full operations at the 30 MW EFGL floating offshore wind project in France on the same day, per Renews.biz. EFGL is a pilot-scale floater; its commercial significance lies in validating floating foundations ahead of larger French Atlantic projects rather than in capacity volume.
