BNetzA opens scenario framework consultation for 2027–2045

Bundesnetzagentur published its scenario framework 2027–2040/2045 and opened the document to public consultation. The framework covers both the electricity system and gas/hydrogen networks, making it the foundational input for grid operators drafting the next Netzentwicklungsplan. The consultation lands as industry pressure on German energy policy is intensifying. According to Renews.biz, an association is calling on Berlin to overhaul the WindSeeG to deliver firmer investment security for offshore wind. That legislative gap sits outside the BNetzA scenario process but feeds directly into the demand assumptions regulators will stress-test across the 2027–2045 horizon.
