CIP's financial close on Pestera 2 is the headline European wind development this week. At 392MW, the Romanian onshore project ranks among the continent's larger onshore wind financings currently in execution. No debt quantum or lender list was disclosed in Renews.biz's report; the 2028 operations target implies a roughly two-year construction window.
In the North Sea, DeepOcean confirmed completion of inter-array cabling at RWE's Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm, with 48 cables installed in what the company described as challenging conditions. The milestone clears a critical subsea infrastructure step ahead of turbine commissioning.
On the German onshore market, PNE commissioned the 18MW Gnutz Ost wind farm on 24 June, a small but concrete addition to Germany's installed base as GE Vernova separately reported new turbine order bookings in the country, per Recharge News.
