The Crown Estate confirmed it will retender the 1.5GW Morgan offshore wind lease, according to Renews.biz. The move reopens one of the larger unbuilt zones in the Welsh waters pipeline and resets the competitive process for a site that had not advanced under its prior leaseholder. No new award timeline was disclosed.

Elsewhere in European wind supply chains, Nordex reported two order tranches in quick succession: 255MW in Germany announced 8 June, followed by a 155MW multi-country European haul on 9 June, bringing the two-day total to 410MW. ORLEN Neptun separately announced plans to expand its wind installation terminal, pointing to rising Polish offshore logistics capacity. Axpo inaugurated a new wind farm in Finland on 8 June, adding to the company's Nordic generation portfolio, though output figures were not included in the headline.

On policy, Scotland's wind sector issued a call for 'rebalancing' the domestic buildout, urging a shift in where capacity is being consented and built. The EBRD's €175m Balkans renewables lending, also published 8 June, underlines continued institutional appetite for wind and solar in markets with thinner private capital access.
