DEME completes 980MW Nordlicht 1 monopile campaign
Orion vessel installs final foundation for the German North Sea project, clearing the path to turbine installation.

DEME's Orion has completed the monopile installation campaign for Nordlicht 1, a 980MW offshore wind farm in the German zone, per Renews.biz. The milestone moves the project into the turbine-installation phase. No installation schedule for the turbines has been published.
On the OEM order front, Vestas had a busy close to Q3. The Danish manufacturer reported 576MW of new contracts spanning Australia, Romania, and Austria, all with long-term service agreements attached. Separately, it secured 200MW of onshore orders in the German zone alongside a 16-turbine deal in Vietnam, per Renews.biz.
Nordex also added to its European order book, winning a 56MW repowering contract with WEB Windenergie in Austria. The project will be the first deployment of Nordex's N175/6.X turbine model in the Austrian zone, per Renews.biz.
