EDF has signed an exclusive 900MW turbine supply deal with Nordex for its UK onshore wind pipeline, per Renews.biz. The exclusive structure ties EDF's development queue to a single OEM, a procurement approach that reduces supplier optionality but can improve delivery certainty on larger pipelines.

Elsewhere in the British Isles, SSE has submitted a consent application for the 102MW Crumhach project in Sligo, which would repower two existing wind farms into one consolidated site. Repowering applications are accelerating across Ireland as older turbine cohorts reach end-of-life and capacity factor gains from modern machines justify the permitting effort.

On the structural side, a report by Heligan argues that floating offshore wind could account for one third of total UK offshore capacity, contingent on grid and port infrastructure investment. In Denmark, two offshore wind projects secured power contracts in the latest tender round, per Recharge News, though project sizes and strike prices were not available from the headline alone.
