EnBW has wrapped up turbine installation at He Dreiht, the 960MW offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, according to Renews.biz. The milestone comes despite an ongoing Vestas investigation into a blade failure at the site on 22 July. No timeline for that investigation has been disclosed.
Onshore, RWE completed two projects in Germany and Scotland. The 70MW Enoch Hill farm in East Ayrshire generated first power back in April and is now formally complete. The 22.8MW Papenhagen farm in Germany, comprising four turbines, has also been commissioned. Separately, ENOVA Value sold a 350MW onshore portfolio, with the buyer intending to use it as a platform for further expansion in the German wind sector.
Nordex added an 82MW order from EFG covering twelve turbines for citizen wind projects in Germany. Together, the announcements cover the 960MW He Dreiht offshore project and 524.8MW of onshore capacity across commissioned projects, portfolio sales and turbine orders, even as the He Dreiht blade incident keeps scrutiny on Vestas hardware performance.
