Enercon's €1bn guarantee facility, backed by 11 banks, is the headline financing move in European onshore wind this week. Guarantee facilities of this size underwrite turbine supply contracts and project bonds across multiple markets simultaneously. The breadth of the consortium, 11 institutions, points to broad lender appetite for the sector despite ongoing permitting headwinds in core European markets.

On the offshore side, two supply-chain milestones have been reached. Sif fabricated and loaded out all 100 monopile foundations and transition pieces for Baltyk 2 and 3, two of Poland's flagship offshore wind projects. Separately, Elia confirmed that foundation works for the Princess Elisabeth Energy Island are done. The island is a central hub for Belgian and future North Sea offshore wind interconnection.

In Romania, Rezolv's 192 MW VIFOR project has 30 turbines spinning as commissioning proceeds. VIFOR adds to a growing pipeline of utility-scale onshore wind in the Romanian bidding zone, which has seen increased developer interest following improved grid connection terms.
