European PPA prices averaged 2.3% higher in July, according to pv magazine. The gain was uneven across zones: Great Britain and Italy drove the headline move upward, while the Nordics, Spain, and Portugal each saw prices fall. The net result was still positive for the pan-European index.

Contracting volume was solid. Twenty-four PPAs covering 1.1 GW were signed during the month. Nine battery storage agreements, totalling 865 MW, were also executed, a notable figure for a single month and a sign that BESS offtake structures are becoming routine alongside generation PPAs.

Separately, Renews.biz reported that Statkraft and Hydro have agreed a long-dated Norwegian power PPA. The deal covers an annual supply of 876 GWh and runs from 2031 to 2040, a ten-year tenor that anchors a significant volume of Norwegian hydro output well into the next decade.
