The first turbine installation at the 760MW Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm marks the project's transition from construction prep to active build-out. HKW sits in the Dutch North Sea and, at 760MW, is one of the larger single offshore zones currently under construction in the North Sea basin. No commissioning date was specified in the Renews.biz report.

Elsewhere on 1 June, European wind supply chain activity was broad. Enercon locked in a 175MW German order, Vestas split a 95MW deal across German and UK sites, and EDF unveiled a 150MW proposed onshore wind farm in Wales. Each order is modest in isolation, but the cluster reflects continued procurement momentum across onshore markets ahead of mid-decade capacity targets.

Enertrag's €1.1bn France commitment is the largest single capital announcement of the day. France has consistently lagged Northern European peers on wind build rates; a commitment of that scale from a German independent suggests improving return expectations or long-term PPA visibility in the French market. No project-level breakdown was provided.
