France extends C3IV cleantech tax credit by three years

France is extending its C3IV green industry tax credit for three years, per pv magazine. The credit spans the battery, wind, solar and heat pump value chains and sits inside the government's broader reindustrialization push. Around 40 projects are expected to qualify by 2030.

The move keeps France aligned with IRA-style incentive structures that several European peers are watching closely. No new budget figure was disclosed in the announcement, but the continuation signal reduces near-term policy uncertainty for cleantech manufacturers weighing site decisions in the French zone.

Separately, Orsted CEO Rasmus Errboe publicly welcomed Germany's introduction of two-way contracts for difference for offshore wind, saying it is "about time" Berlin adopted the mechanism. Two-way CfDs cap developer upside in high-price periods while providing downside protection, a structure that lenders increasingly require before committing project finance in the German zone.
