German onshore wind tender clears 2.5 GW at 4.79 ct/kWh

Germany's latest onshore wind EEG auction, which closed 1 August 2026, awarded 2.5 GW of capacity at an average value of 4.79 ct/kWh, according to Bundesnetzagentur. The round was greatly oversubscribed, confirming that developer appetite in the German zone continues to outpace the volumes regulators put to tender.
The 4.79 ct/kWh average is the headline clearing price for this round. Oversubscription in successive EEG auctions has kept award prices competitive; developers unable to clear this round remain in the queue for future tender windows.
On the supply-chain side, Neptun Smulders (NSORe) signed a deal to manufacture key platform components for the 2 GW LanWin3 offshore project, with production split between Rostock and Vlissingen. ABO Energy also closed the sale of two German onshore wind farms, Heimbach-Vlatten and Ortenberg, to Blue Elephant Energy, per Renews.biz.
