German rooftop solar auction undersubscribed again in June
BNetzA's June round fell short of capacity targets despite a material rise in submitted bid volume.

Germany's rooftop solar feed-in tender missed its capacity target again in June. Bundesnetzagentur confirmed the round was undersubscribed despite a considerable increase in bid volume compared with the previous auction. The regulator has not published the exact MW gap as of this writing, but the repeated shortfall signals persistent friction on the supply side of the auction pipeline: permitting delays and grid connection backlogs remain the most cited structural barriers in German distributed solar.
On the module market, European prices held flat through July after several months of upward drift, according to pv magazine. Availability improved across monocrystalline and bifacial segments; back-contact modules remain the exception, with supply still constrained. A price plateau, if sustained, reduces one headwind for developers pricing new PPAs and EPC contracts.
At the asset level, EnBW brought its 8.8 MW Adelsheim park online in Baden-Württemberg on 16 July. The project adds to EnBW's growing renewables portfolio in southern Germany, a region that regularly posts among the highest solar irradiation hours in the country.
