Three BESS transactions closed in quick succession across the UK and Italy. GRID secured £141m in project financing on 26 May, the largest single ticket of the trio, giving the fund fresh capital to advance its UK pipeline. Details on lenders and project location have not been disclosed publicly beyond the headline figure.

On the same day, Qualitas Energy backed a 211 MW battery portfolio in Italy. At that scale it ranks among the more substantial Italy-specific BESS commitments reported this year, though capacity-weighted economics and revenue stack have not been published. A day later, Eelpower completed the acquisition of RES's Stoneworthy scheme in the UK, adding a development-stage asset to its growing GB portfolio.

Taken together, the three deals reflect continued willingness from infrastructure lenders and specialist funds to deploy capital into European BESS at scale. UK and Italian markets are the immediate focus; neither transaction carries disclosed offtake or revenue contract detail at this stage.
