Ofgem publishes interim RIIO-3 reporting pack for electricity transmission

Ofgem has published two regulatory documents. The first is an interim Regulatory Reporting Pack and accompanying guidance for electricity transmission network operators. The templates are designed to capture data used to update the Price Control Financial Models during the Annual Iteration Process, the mechanism by which allowed revenues are recalibrated within the RIIO-3 framework.

The second publication is Ofgem's decision on proposed amendments to the interconnection agreement between Interconnector Limited and National Gas. No financial figures were disclosed in the published summary, but the decision closes a live regulatory question on the terms governing that interconnection arrangement.

Taken together, the two releases reflect Ofgem's active preparation of the RIIO-3 operating environment. Transmission operators should review the interim RRP templates promptly: data submitted through the AIP feeds directly into the PCFM outputs that determine future revenue allowances, per Ofgem's published guidance.
