OX2 has divested the 77MW Urleasca onshore wind project in Romania to Scatec, per Renews.biz. The asset is ready-to-build, meaning Scatec can move to construction without further development work. Romania has become an increasingly active market for wind M&A as developers look to lock in CEE capacity ahead of anticipated grid tightening.

Also on 31 July, Qualitas Energy broke ground on the Ingstetten repowering in the German zone. The project totals 42MW and replaces older turbines at an established site, a route that is growing in importance as German permitting for greenfield onshore wind remains constrained.

On the portfolio side, Drax closed its Bluefield Solar acquisition, bringing 900MW of operational wind and solar assets onto its books. The deal was confirmed complete on 31 July, per Renews.biz.
