RTE annual review: France's 2025 electricity system in numbers
RTE's Annual Electricity Review 2025 lands, offering a full-year read on French generation, demand, and the energy mix.

RTE released its Annual Electricity Review 2025 on 13 April 2026. The publication is the standard reference for full-year French power system metrics: generation by fuel, demand levels, cross-border flows, and renewables penetration. The feed item carries no extracted figures, so analysts should pull numbers directly from the RTE source.
Separately, Red Eléctrica (Redeia) disclosed that installed hybrid capacity in Spain now exceeds 1.6 GW. Nearly 86% of that comes from hybridisation of multiple renewable technologies, wind-solar combinations being the dominant form. The Spanish TSO is now publishing hybrid capacity data via its e-sios platform and redOS app, with generation output data to follow in the coming months. Storage and self-consumption data were added to the same platforms in 2025.
Both releases expand the publicly available dataset for two of the four largest European bidding zones. Per RTE and Red Eléctrica, the disclosures are part of each TSO's ongoing transparency commitments under the energy transition.
