ERG and Statkraft closed a seven-year PPA on Italian wind generation, with contracted volume exceeding 800 GWh. Statkraft acts as offtaker, adding to its existing Italian merchant and structured book. The deal covers a multi-year window that straddles the current Italian capacity market cycle.

In the UK, Elgin Energy signed 15-year solar PPAs with Erova for a 112.6 MW portfolio. The tenor is notably long for UK solar: 15 years pushes well beyond the typical 10-to-12-year range seen in recent UK corporate PPA transactions. Erova takes the offtake across what Renews.biz describes as a portfolio structure.

Taken together, both deals reflect active PPA markets in two of Europe's larger renewable zones. The Italian deal prioritises volume certainty; the UK deal prioritises duration. Per Renews.biz, both transactions were announced on consecutive days.
