Vattenfall installed the first monopile at Nordlicht 1 on 2 July, moving the German offshore cluster into its active construction phase. No turbine count or total capacity was specified in the Renews.biz report, but the milestone confirms offshore installation work is now under way.
On the order side, Vestas booked 451MW across multiple markets to end Q2, with Germany the single largest country at 142MW over five projects. Nordex added 197MW in Germany on the same day, spanning three regions under ENOVA and BMR contracts. That brought combined announced German onshore turbine orders for 2 July alone to 339MW.
In M&A, Actis acquired six operational Polish wind farms totalling 171MW from infrastructure fund CVC DIF. Separately, Ignitis received EIA approval for the 700MW Curonian Nord offshore project in the Baltic, clearing a key regulatory gate for one of the region's larger pipeline assets.
