Vattenfall wins two sites in Danish offshore wind tender

Vattenfall swept Denmark's latest offshore tender, securing two project sites on the same day. The Nordsøen Midt plot carries a capacity of 1GW; Hesselø comes in at 1.2GW, per Renews.biz. Both sit in the Danish zone, concentrating a substantial share of the country's next pipeline with one developer.

On the construction front, Vattenfall also installed its first transition piece at Nordlicht, described by Renews.biz as Germany's largest offshore wind farm. The milestone marks the move from pre-assembly to active foundation work at the German zone project.

Elsewhere, Shell agreed to sell its European onshore renewables portfolio to TotalEnergies, according to Reuters. The deal consolidates onshore wind and solar assets under TotalEnergies as Shell continues its retreat from European green power development. Dutch foundation specialist Sif also reported a sharp lift in earnings as its Maasvlakte 2 plant reached full production, per Renews.biz, adding a supply-chain data point to an otherwise busy week for European offshore wind.
