Vestas secures European onshore orders across four zones in one day

Vestas announced two separate European onshore award packages. The larger covers 170MW in Italy across projects for Edison and SIMIC, with installation scheduled for 2027. The smaller covers 119MW split across the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, totalling 26 turbines.

The Italian pipeline is notable given the zone's historically slow permitting environment. Both Italian projects move directly to a 2027 installation window, suggesting permits were already in place at signing. No turbine model or unit count was disclosed for the Italian orders, per Renews.biz.

Separately, the Beuningen wind farm in the Dutch zone secured final regulatory approval. The five-turbine project targets first generation from early 2029. Also, EEW won the foundations contract for the Zeevonk offshore project, covering 69 transition-piece-less monopile structures in the North Sea, and Njord secured a three-year ROV survey framework with RWE covering UK and European waters.
